In a few days, on September 5th, the Day of Charity will be celebrated.
And we could not let it pass without expressing our appreciation for those who make such an effort to support those in need. Alfaloc thus moved forward with a solidarity campaign.
Last Christmas, with the support of its customers, Alfaloc delivered donations to various institutions. At the end of the year hit by COVID-19, sometimes in the period when there was still no vaccine, the world felt stunned, and also undefined and uncertain. Faced with this reality, it was necessary to focus on something that would give breath.
In addition to the focus on joining forces, which nevertheless maintains our commitment to all our customers, there is also the inevitable, and natural, focus on the contribution that each of us can make to those who need it most.
Solidarity Campaign 2021
The Alfaloc “Share your cake” movement, created at Christmas 2020, thus generated the breath that gave some encouragement to many difficult realities, and thus made it possible to help families in a state of poverty, help displaced people in the world, without homelessness, even more help children without parental or school support, and contribute to improving the quality of life in the context of cerebral palsy or disability.
It was in the awareness of the responsibility of the campaign to which we proposed, with all the dedication and care, that we delivered the much-needed donations to the institutions:
- ANCAP – National Association for the Fight against Poverty
- HuBB – Humans Before Borders
- Homeless Support Center
- APPC – Cerebral Palsy
- Mother of Gradil House
- Wellsprings of Light
- Gaiato House
- CERCI
- AHEAD
Among these, we can mention specific projects for which donations have been applied:
The Nascentes de Luz institution is grateful for its contribution to the conservation and restoration of Casa da Eira do Avó, in an ecological way, thus maintaining its originality, with a view to its reuse as a playful, restful and leisure space in harmony with the surrounding nature and the association’s mission.
CERCI will channel the donation to the investment project for the remodeling, and expansion, of the Occupational Activity Centers I and II in S. João da Madeira.
Casa Mãe Gradil will invest in the maintenance of the facilities, to improve its contribution to the quality of life of the users of this Institution.
Casa do Gaiato will invest in the purchase of hygiene products for users.
AHEAD will use the donation to invest in appropriate material to accompany classes and educational activities, thus promoting the school success of children and young people and contributing to their social inclusion.
These are some of the dreams that we have helped to fulfill.
We know that when we go together we always go further!
For you. For your company.
For a better world. Every day.
