Alfaloc is supporting national basketball, both male and female. On the men’s side we have the Taça de Portugal Alfaloc. On the women’s side we have the Skoiy League.
The Portuguese Basketball Federation (FPB) has established an important protocol with Alfaloc as a partner in supporting the sport. In fact, Alfaloc’s values as a brand, in addition to its relevance in the economy and breadth throughout the national territory, were determining factors for this partnership.
Thus, during the next two sports seasons, that is, 2020/21 and 2021/22, Alfaloc will be the naming sponsor of the premier competition of Portuguese basketball. Thus, the men’s Portuguese Basketball Cup is now called “Taça de Portugal Alfaloc”.
In fact, the draw for the Final Four of the Alfaloc Portuguese Cup is already taking place today. The teams SL Benfica, FC Porto, Sporting CP and Imortal LUZiGÁS will be drawn. The teams will face each other on April 10 and 11, at CDC Matosinhos, to define the winner of the Cup. In addition, the semi-final and final matches will be broadcast on RTP2 and FPBtv.
Not limited to supporting men’s sport, through the partnership with the FPB, Alfaloc will also support women’s sport through the Skoiy League.
The matches of the Liga Skoiy are already taking place, and the next ones take place on April 2nd. At that time, the teams AD Vagos, SL Benfica, CAB Madeira, Quinta dos Lombos, Guifões, GDESSA Barreiro and Vitória SC remain in competition for the title of National Champions.
The Alfaloc Group is increasingly showing itself as a global brand. In Portugal, Alfaloc has provided several supports to sports, whether in cycling, with André Vendas, in rallying, with Rafael Cardeira, or at the Benfica School in Oliveira de Azeméis. However, this is, without a doubt, the most visible national support.
