September, a special month:
- the month in which we celebrate Alfaloc’s anniversary (it’s been 24 years!)
- and the month in which we hold the annual convention.
It’s time to meet the new team members and discuss important and interesting issues.
As part of the Employer Branding practices, this year’s themes came to talk about the future of Alfaloc employees and beyond: Technology – how is technology changing our lives?
10 years ago, did you imagine that it was possible to have a tiny computer (a smartphone!) in your hand?
And how does that change the way you order your shipments?
It can still be by phone, and by e-mail.
But you can also talk to Alfaloc on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, and even on Whatsapp.
A few years ago you needed to call the carrier, and wait long moments until you knew the status of your shipment.
Now you just need to have a number and enter it into a platform, to know everything in seconds.
Do you see where we want to go?
Technology has brought many new things, which is changing the way we all work, including you.
Remember how long it took a few years ago to do that tedious task?
What now? Is there already a machine doing this task for you, or speeding up the process?
So, what can we do to prevent technology from “outsmarting us”?
We talked a lot about this at the Alfaloc Convention…
We have to find what we are really valuable at, what a machine cannot replace us in. And, by the way, make the most of machines, so that that boring and unimportant work takes less and less time. So you’ll be able to focus your time on what makes a difference.
One more thing: if we are talking about being different, why not talk about inspiration?
What inspires us?
People inspire us.
They may or may not be close, but they do something special that makes us think “I wish I could do that too…”, or “I wish I could feel that passion too…”.
Have you looked for it? We searched! And we found a lot of passions within the Alfaloc team: passion for the art of pastry, passion for music, passion for life and for reinventing oneself even at the age of 50…
What special themes.
This and other topics were discussed at the Alfaloc 2019 Convention, this time at the Hotel & Spa Termas do Bicanho.
Check out the titles below to get a little more inside.
Oh! By the way, keep an eye on Alfaloc’s Facebook:
We’ve been showing some moments, and the image above is from a video ready to premiere
Some of the topics covered:
I 4.0
Our life is a journey that supposes human and technological evolution.
It seems strange how Humanity and Technology go hand in hand in our century, but the truth is that they do. The sooner a balance is found between everything that human beings have that is irreplaceable and the limits of the evolution of technology, the sooner we strengthen this journey so that human added value remains volarized and technological evolution grows as a benefit, without harming the professional and personal world.
As they say: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together…” informed, and sure of your value.
Stand Up Talks
It is common to look for inspiration for our life only, and only, outside our routine. Sometimes we block out the idea that we can be more or that we can see beyond what we already do, because we believe that there is a limit to what we can be, do or manifest.
Blocking our limits, and disbelieving in our abilities, also blocks the moments of daily happiness that we can build in our personal lives and at work.
It is guaranteed that inspiration can be in everything and everyone, even by our side, and the time has come for us to know stories of those who were not afraid to be more than what they appear to be every day, because everything that allows us to dream, and evolve, also makes us inspiring in life and at work.
