Electrifying party in the final 4 of the Alfaloc Portuguese Cup, with FC Porto beating SL Benfica
Viana do Castelo hosted on the 16th and 17th of March, the final 4 of the Alfaloc Portuguese Cup in Basketball.
This was the 15th time that the Porto emblem lifted the trophy, something that had not happened since 2019.
A true “classic” game that Benfica and FC Porto played at the José Natário Municipal Pavilion, full of audience, with emotion until the last second.
For the 4th consecutive year, Alfaloc joins the Portuguese Basketball Federation, in the promotion of the sport and enhancement of its queen competition.
FC Porto reached the final after beating Imortal LUZiGÁS, while Benfica stood out by winning against CD Póvoa ESC ONLINE, in two semi-finals of enormous spectacularity.
At the end of the game, where FC Porto was crowned champion, Fernando Sá did not spare his praise for his players: ‘The most special cup is this one. It is, at the same time, the beginning of a lot of things and the culmination of a lot of work.’
While Norberto Alves, Benfica’s coach, assumes that “We started the game very badly, defensively very little aggressive. In the second half we did well. Then there were small details. Congratulations to those who win.”
Throughout the 3 games, the many spectators in the pavilion were able to vote for the player with the best “Tapinha” of each game. An initiative of Alfaloc, which sought to highlight its own valence among the many exporting companies.
