Because aid must have no limits, and in this difficult time, we must be united.
In the fight against COVID-19, Alfaloc stands shoulder to shoulder with 3DMask Portugal.
The fight against the pandemic forces people and companies to leave their comfort zone, and to act for the health and life of all.
To help reduce the contagion of COVID-19, the 3DMask Portugal project was born with the aim of creating protective visors, through 3D printers, to offer free of charge to professionals of the National Health Service.
Currently, the project already has more than 250 volunteers. In a space of 2 weeks, it went from 10 volunteers to more than 150 people producing visors in their own homes, on 3D printers. These people were joined by companies from various sectors to help with what they know. In the case of Alfaloc, the specialty is transportation. Therefore, our contribution is the free transport of the visors from the place of their production to the storage and distribution warehouses of other partners (Printer and Instituto Superior TĂ©cnico), in addition to other deliveries.
As of today, 3DMask Portugal has already delivered more than 6500 visors to 132 health units, through the tireless work of volunteers who have 3D printers, thus guaranteeing health professionals a risk mitigating and effective action, which prevents the spread of the virus while they are at work.
